What you need to open an account

You can open a Vantar account on the web in a few minutes. What you need depends on where you live. Have these ready before you start.
If you live in the US
- •Your Social Security number
- •Your US home address. We can’t accept PO boxes.
- •Proof that you’re 18 or older, which we check from your details
If you live in Nigeria
- •Your BVN and NIN
- •A government photo ID for a quick ID check on your phone or computer
- •Your Nigerian home address
- •A W-8BEN form, which we fill in with you during sign up
If you live in the UK
- •Your National Insurance number
- •A government photo ID for a quick ID check
- •Your UK home address
- •A W-8BEN form, which we fill in with you during sign up
If you live in the US but aren’t a citizen
Permanent residents can open an account with their SSN and green card details. Some visa holders can open an account too. We’ll ask about your visa during sign up.
Most accounts are approved within [1 business day]. We’ll email you if we need anything else from you.
